MFW: ECC and K4 Week 10

MFW: ECC & K4 WEEK 10

This week we will continue our studies on Brazil and the Rainforest.  I decide to combine this week with week 9 since there isn't that much work in the Teacher's Manual for it.  Plus we will continue with Brazil next week.  We will do review work in math and work on new spelling words with lot of reading.

SCIENCE

While we were in Puerto Rico last month we took the kids to "Don Frappe" to go on some rides and see some animals.  D wanted to see the Marmoset monkey so bad so we paid for him to be able to hold him.  We talked about different types of monkeys and apes that live in South America and the kids were excited to say they got to hold a real Marmoset in person.

Worked on the Rainforest worksheet from week 9, it was interesting to see where all the rainforest were (on the equator).

Many different levels of the Rainforest.

FIELD TRIP

We celebrated two friends birthday this weekend, which of course lots of fun.  Anything dealing with water is always fun.

Kids got to enjoy walking around the farm (great field trip and nature walk all in one) at their friends house and seeing the different types of animals they had.

Pinata fun, great way to take out your anger and rage.  Great way to finish the week.

This week we combined week 10 with week 9, mostly because it was a short lesson.  We continued our studies on Brazil and Rainforest.  Reviewed what we have done so far in math.  Read a lot more and got more spelling words practice.

GOD BLESS!!!
