MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 25

This week we will read about Solomon turns from God, the Kingdom Divided, Elijah, the prophets of Baal, the decline and fall of Israel, Hebrew Influence. Also read about Israel and Judah, ways that invertebrates move in the water, how most vertebrates move in the water, and paintings of beetles, and scientific study.

Worked on writing, spelling, reading, comprehension, and poetry.

Kids worked on addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, skip counting, and word problems.

Read about Solomon's wives, the Kingdom divides, King Ahab and Elijah, the prophets of Baal, the Hebrew kingdom, King David, and the great escape. Conquering Canaan, fighting the Philistines, King Solomon, Hebrew influence, two kingdoms, the end of the Hebrew kingdoms, and the decline and fall of Israel.

SCIENCE

Learned about some ways that invertebrates move in the water, how most vertebrates move in the water, and several experiments.

ART

Lesson 40: A Scientific Study and Lesson 41: Painting a Stage Beetle

FIELD TRIPS

Didn't go anywhere in particular this week but did go out ran errands, went on several walks, and music lessons.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Solomon's wives, the Kingdom divides, King Ahab and Elijah, the prophets of Baal, the Hebrew kingdom, King David, and the great escape. Conquering Canaan, fighting the Philistines, King Solomon, Hebrew influence, two kingdoms, the end of the Hebrew kingdoms, and the decline and fall of Israel. Learned about some ways that invertebrates move in the water, how most vertebrates move in the water, and several experiments. Lots of learning this week, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

This week we will learn about David and Gathsheba, Absalm rebels, King Solomon, and Solomon's glory. Also will read more Children's Homer, Israel under Solomon, the riches of Arabia, King David, osmosis, vertebrates, and invertebrates.

This week the kids went to the university for their monthly "Seeding your Future" class, this time they learned all about Physics: Electricity.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about David and Bathsheba, David and Absalom, Solomon is anointed, Solomon's wisdom, Solomon's temple, and the Queen of Sheba. Learned more about saltwater, freshwater, osmosis, diffusion, vertebrates, and invertebrates. Kids ended the week going to their monthly class of "Seeding your Future" at the university. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
