MFW: WHL (10th Grade) and Exploration to 1850 (6th Grade) Week 8

This week we will be learning about Virginia colony, Louis XIV of France, Frederick the first Prussian King, the sun king of France, John Smith, the decline of Rome, Barbarian Invasions of Rome, and the shepherd of tender youth.  Also learn about amphibians, amphibian metamorphosis, reptiles, mammals, primates, and humans.

Kids worked on spelling, writing, reports, research, lots of reading, and Spanish.

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Algebra, fractions, and decimals.

Read about Father Jacques Marquette, the decline of Jamestown, Virginia, Cyprian, John Chrysostom, Basil of Caesarea, Shepherd of Tender Youth, the Didache, changes in Rome, the way of Christ, the decline of Rome, changes in church practice, the fall of Rome, Barbarian invasions of Rome, France and the Sun King, the rise of Prussia, and the Barbarian kingdoms.

SCIENCE

Learned about amphibians, air or water, animal hearing, amphibian metamorphosis, challenges for evolution, primates, humans, and hibernation.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Father Jacques Marquette, the decline of Jamestown, Virginia, Cyprian, John Chrysostom, Basil of Caesarea, Shepherd of Tender Youth, the Didache, changes in Rome, the way of Christ, the decline of Rome, changes in church practice, the fall of Rome, Barbarian invasions of Rome, France and the Sun King, the rise of Prussia, and the Barbarian kingdoms. Learned about amphibians, air or water, animal hearing, amphibian metamorphosis, challenges for evolution, primates, humans, and hibernation.  It was a very busy week but we made it through, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
