Second part of the week, we will learn about India, Columbus, sari, King Skandagupta, monks in caves, the great Indian Kingdoms, Asia, the Moghul Dynasty, Akbar of India, Muslims conquer India, Africa, a New World, and space rocks. Also read about Leonard da Vinci, Sphumato, soft edges, and more on Jeremiah.

Read about King Skandagupta, monks in caves, the Moghul Dynasty, Christopher Columbus, Akbar of India, kingdoms of Southeast Asia, Hindus, Buddhists, Warring Kingdoms, the Khmer Kingdom, conquerors of Northern India, Muslim invaders, Mongol raiders, the Chola kingdoms, sultans of Delhi, Vijayanagar, Indian kingdoms, the Gupta Dynasty, the Muslim conquest, early voyages, the Rajput Kingdoms, a new world, and pyramids. Also read about tomb treasures, burials, death, beehive tombs, and early and later tombs.

Ended the week getting to see the red moon.

FIELD TRIP

The beginning of the week we went to a goat farm and during the week we took a lot of walks, and spent lots of time outdoor enjoying this wonderful weather.

Ended the week getting to see the red moon, great experience to add to our studies of the planets. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

FIELD TRIP

This week we went to Georges Mill Farm to spend some time with cute baby goats.

CONCLUSION

We have started to do two weeks of lessons in one week, now that we are getting closer to finishing the school year we are able to combing weeks. For this first part of the week we are going to learn about life in ancient Africa, the kingdom of Kush, the Nok people, the spread of farming, the riches of Axum, standing stones, a christian king, Byzantine rulers, Fatimids in Egypt, Arab invaders, Mamelukes in Egypt, and conquerors of North America. Also read about gold, salt, Ghana, the African continent, the influence of geography, African beginnings, Muslim influence in Africa, African kingdoms thrive, the first cities, games, the end of the Egyptian empire, sports, life at home, parties, temples and gods, Mansa Musa of Mali, the Songhay Empire, the kingdom of Ethiopia, and the city of gold.
